Severud Associates engineered this multi-phase conversion of a landmarked carriage house into a school. Transferring two existing columns created a column-free space for a theater; the adjacent columns and footings were reinforced for the increased loads. Work also included the design of an enclosure for a rooftop play space and a pedestrian bridge, both framed in steel.
