Daniel Surrett, PE

Associate Principal

 

Daniel Surrett has been with Severud Associates since 2006. He started as an engineer and progressed to senior engineer in 2012. The next year, he advanced to associate and in 2018, was elevated to senior associate. In 2023, he was promoted to associate principal. Dan’s skills in the design of structural systems, augmented by his extensive field experience, allow him to both manage and engineer multiple large-scale projects. Dan’s portfolio of noteworthy projects includes the new corporate headquarters at 270 Park Avenue, One Vanderbilt Avenue, and the Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, three of the tallest office buildings in New York City. Other projects include the One Madison Avenue Redevelopment in Manhattan, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Scott Bieler Clinical Sciences Center in Buffalo, New York, and the Barnes Foundation relocation and expansion in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

 

Dan is licensed as a professional engineer in New York, Kentucky, and West Virginia and is certified by New York City Buildings as a qualified parking structure inspector. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Engineering in structural engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology.
