Steven J. Najarian, PE, SECB


Steve Najarian’s career with Severud Associates started in 1982. During his more than 35 years with the firm, Steve has engineered buildings using a wide variety of structural systems and materials and is particularly fluent in the design of high-rise steel towers and reinforced concrete residential buildings. His long list of significant projects includes the United States Mission to the United Nations and the 27 on 27th apartment building, both in New York City, as well as the Franklin Court office building in Washington, D.C.

Steve is co-author of an article about his 653 Tenth Avenue residential building project, “Optimizing Light and Space in the Big City,” which appeared in Structure Magazine in April 2014.

Steve is certified by the Structural Engineering Certification Board (SECB) and licensed as a professional engineer in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Northeastern University.
