John W. Puleo, PE

Associate

 

John Puleo joined the staff of Severud Associates in 2014 after receiving degrees from Bucknell and Lehigh Universities. He soon progressed to senior engineer and in 2020, he advanced to associate. Over the course of his career, John has engineered high-end residential buildings, large-scale retail developments, and school additions, among many other projects. John’s recent work includes the redevelopment of Terminal 6 at JFK International Airport in Queens, 760 Madison Avenue, a mid-rise residential tower in Manhattan, and The Boulevard, a redevelopment of the Hylan Plaza shopping center on Staten Island. Among his other significant projects are the residential buildings 100 Vandam Street and 221 West 77th Street and the office building at 19 East Houston Street, all in New York City.

 

John is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Structural Engineers Association of New York and volunteers with the ACE Mentor Program, which provides role models for students considering the study of engineering.

 

John is licensed as a structural engineer in Nevada and as a professional engineer in New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Bucknell University and a Master of Engineering in structural engineering from Lehigh University.
